Stumbling upon this gem, a lovely view, very friendly staff. Excellent cocktails, I highly recommend it.

We stumbled upon this bar completely by chance. Initially, we just wanted to have a drink, but we felt so comfortable that we ended up having an aperitif and even dinner. The entire team is incredibly attentive, welcoming, and always smiling. The atmosphere is warm and inviting; you really feel at home. Considering the wonderful evening we had, enjoying ourselves immensely while eating and drinking, we found the bill perfectly reasonable for the quality of the experience. A truly great find that we wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who appreciates establishments where hospitality, quality, and service are truly valued. We will definitely be back!

The cocktails were excellent, as was the service. The view was superb. As mentioned in other reviews, the mixed platter for €22 was tiny. The food prices are too high; if I go back, it will only be for a drink.

First brunch experience today! I'm very happy with our time at The Roof. Magnificent view, friendly, discreet, and very helpful staff. The food was top-notch. The charcuterie was excellent, and the hot dishes were a real treat: bagels, beef skewers with sweet potato fries 😋 Very good ice cream and the cocktail of the day was delicious. Good value for money in a beautiful setting.

The welcome, the food, the view...everything is top-notch!

The bar and all the staff are absolutely charming. Unfortunately, we were literally berated by the waiter Jeremy, and for good reason: we had the audacity to change tables (because we were sitting in the blazing sun, in the middle of a heatwave, and we were sweltering) without asking his permission, like children. We sincerely apologize; next time we'll wait for the boss's approval. We'll also wait for the green light from the head of the lower echelons before going to the restroom. Unfortunately, I think it's time to tell this young man that the bar and its clientele are not suited to his position.

I knew the Roof Top a few years ago; the place is still just as nice, but the furniture could do with an update. The pallets are a bit outdated, and the clientele isn't very selective. A shame.

A very bad experience. The waiter, named Jeremy, was particularly condescending and unpleasant to me. When I sat down at a table on the terrace, which was free, he haughtily asked me who had given me permission to sit there, even though we had asked a waitress for permission just before. What struck me most was the difference in treatment compared to the other customers, to whom he was smiling, courteous, and friendly. As a member of a visible minority, I unfortunately couldn't help but feel that I wasn't being treated the same way, which made me very uncomfortable. I hope that management will take this behavior seriously so that all customers are welcomed with the same respect, without discrimination.

I recently discovered The Roof and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The arrival immediately sets the tone: a doorman greets you at the foot of the elevator, with a red carpet and direct access to the rooftop. The elevator only serves two levels, the ground floor and the 7th floor, which almost gives the impression of accessing a privileged location. Once at the top, the view is superb. Clermont-Ferrand stretches out below you, with the volcanic peaks of the Auvergne region and the Puy de Dôme rising on the horizon as a backdrop. The setting is particularly pleasant, and the atmosphere is both chic and relaxed. The staff is very welcoming, smiling, and attentive, which greatly contributes to the quality of the experience. The decor is tasteful, with large lounge areas, comfortable seating, and an atmosphere conducive to relaxing with a drink. My only slight criticism concerns the terrace: there are neither parasols nor any truly shaded areas. Since the Roof opens at 6 pm, it obviously depends on the day's conditions, but when it's very hot and the sun is still shining, the exposure can be quite intense. Nevertheless, it remains a very beautiful, original, and elegant spot, with one of the best views in Clermont-Ferrand. A place you'll enjoy returning to in order to enjoy the sunset, the atmosphere, and the panorama.
