I went for dinner one evening and I don't understand the glowing reviews of this restaurant. The dishes were quite good, the presentation simple yet elegant. The kitchen served the plates quickly. The service was adequate. The place is fairly spacious, you're not bothered by the adjoining tables... but the decor is unremarkable (wine bottles neatly arranged in their crates), the atmosphere rather impersonal, much like the pop hits playing in the dining room. There's room for improvement regarding value for money: almost 50 euros for a starter, main course, and dessert with a soft drink, for modest portions and standard flavors.

We happened to walk past it, and the storefront and menu caught our eye. The customer reviews encouraged us to go in. The atmosphere is pleasant, the air conditioning was welcome, and the meal was high quality and good value for money. Rack of lamb, Salardaise potatoes, and pineapple millard. Very good. In short, a place to recommend.

As regulars and fans of Gorki's cuisine, we learned that it would be continuing its journey under a new name: Papylou. We tried this restaurant one evening. The setting is magnificent, tastefully decorated, and the staff is pleasant, smiling, and welcoming. Unfortunately, our first disappointment came with the aperitif. My friend ordered a cocktail (around €10) that she knows well. The ingredients were presented to her, including passion fruit, but it was missing when the order arrived. We were told that some products were still being stored at the old restaurant. We understood the situation. Then the dishes arrived (a three-course meal for €33). Visually, the plates were quite simple, in keeping with the spirit of traditional cuisine. We felt that something was missing, that little something that, in our opinion, made Gorki unique. The value for money wasn't there. The photos currently published before June 2026 are of Gorki. This restaurant has just opened; we hope this review will be seen as constructive and will contribute positively to the continuation of this new adventure 🙂
