Restaurant universitaire Le Clos Saint-Jacques

The best student cafeteria I've ever tried in my four years of university studies. The food is always varied and high quality. There's something for everyone. And the staff is friendlier than at any other student cafeteria in the city.

The Crous is truly amazing. Every time I go, I take a picture of what I buy because the food is so varied and appetizing. There's something for everyone: pork, meat, vegetarian, vegan (I've noticed dishes made entirely of vegetables, pasta, rice, etc., without any animal products). My absolute favorite is the 3-point pastries: I can never leave without getting one; they're simply delicious (not so much the fruit ones, but the chocolate ones 🤌🏽). The place is clean, well-organized, the food is high quality, and the staff is absolutely lovely. I recommend it 100%!

A very pleasant restaurant, with friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price! The meals are varied, and on a clear day, there's an incredible view of the mountains! The only downside is the crowds, as it's very popular, but overall, it's the best value for money you'll find here!

Unsanitary accommodation... Cockroaches everywhere, it still makes me nauseous. When I finally managed to see someone to change rooms, they told me it would be complicated because "there's a high chance you'll end up in another room with insects in this building"?! I spent several years in student housing, but I didn't even last a month this academic year! I had to find accommodation urgently.

Good, but nothing special, which is a shame.

There's a kind of creative space in this place. A tick climbs onto the mirrors, both round and square, on the walls. And what walls they are—colorful, rough, soft, and plush. The food, well, it's cafeteria food, so don't expect gourmet cuisine, or even bistronomy, if I may, my lord. The student areas bring us the surprises we all expect in these places (a word that's been said?). I'm still searching for my subtle dignity in the mental space this place allows us. I take, I give, and I redistribute life. I hope the students are terribly hungry, DINNER'S READY!!!! A personal awakening is on the horizon, I think.

I've never seen human beings as kind and smiling as the cafeteria staff at this CROUS. A huge thank you to them from the bottom of my heart.

Let's remember that this is a university restaurant, it's the best in Clermont Ferrand, the meals are balanced, substantial, and you even get a bonus of a beautiful view of the Puy de Dôme!
